Happy and Layed Back!!!!

That is exactly how I would describe these three young girls!  They were also well behaved, sweet, and the whole family had great energy together!  Carrie, the mom, was a few years ahead of me in school.  Although I didn’t know her well on a personal level, I always knew of her.  She was my oldest friend Alyssa’s next door neighbor.  Carrie was a genius, and in high school that what she was known for.  But the thing that always stood out to me about her was the  saludatorian speech she gave for her graduating high school class.  I have heard many of those speaches about success, try your hardest and you can be like me, etc.  Carrie’s speech was different.  She got up to the podium and gave a speech about how the person you were was more important than the grades on your report card and that is how we should judge people.  It was uplifting.  Although I would never be one of the people up at that podium on graduation day, Carrie gave me, and everyone there something to strive for no matter what type of student we were.  Carrie went on to be one of the school adjustment counselors at the same high school she graduated from, and from what I hear the kids love her!   I wasn’t surprised to see the happy family she had, but I was truely glad to see that life had continued on that path for her!
